The Challenge

Made-to-measure craftsmanship — in need of an equally refined digital experience.

Shirtonomy is a Swedish premium shirtmaker offering both ready-to-wear and fully made-to-measure shirts, crafted from fabrics woven in Portugal's historic textile region. With a catalog spanning business, casual, smoking, safari, and seasonal collections — across materials like merino, cashmere, linen, oxford, and denim — every shirt can be configured across a wide range of fit, fabric, collar, cuff, and finishing options. The challenge was translating that depth of choice into an online experience that felt as considered and personal as the product itself, without overwhelming the customer or requiring a physical atelier visit.

The Work

A fully custom configurator, built natively on Shopify for a made-to-measure product.

Eclipse designed and developed a bespoke product configurator integrated directly into the Shirtonomy Shopify store, handling the full commerce logic beneath it. The configurator guides customers step by step through every variable that defines a made-to-measure shirt — fabric, fit, collar style, cuff type, buttons, and monogram options — with each selection updating the product in real time. The entire Shopify backend was structured from scratch to support the configurator's complexity: variant logic, order data, and pricing rules are all engineered to handle the combinatorial range of a custom garment catalog, while keeping the front-end experience clean, intuitive, and true to the brand's premium positioning.

The Result

A bespoke shirt, configured and ordered entirely online.

Shirtonomy customers can now design and order a fully personalised shirt from anywhere — without a consultation, without a tailor visit, without friction. The configurator brings the made-to-measure experience online in a way that matches the quality and care of the product itself, making a traditionally high-touch purchase fully self-serve while preserving every detail that defines the brand.
